Canton Pianist Steve Wogaman performs at Annual Dinner
-- 09/27/08Steve Wogaman, President and CEO of Canton Symphony Orchestra, performed at the Atwood Yacht Club for the annual dinner. Steve transported his own six-foot grand piano for the occasion and the enjoyment of members and interested patrons of the arts.
Steve performance was moving and memorable, and received several standing ovations. The intimate setting was perfect for the selected pieces which were played. Steve reminded us that many of his selections were meant to be played in small venues such as the Atwood Club setting.
The beauty of the evening was breath taking and once again stirs our spirits for the arts. This soul touching performance is why many Carroll County residents support the Arts Center's efforts.
Steve and his wife Michelle founded New Performing Arts, Inc., a nonprofit organization devoted to providing live, professional performing arts programs to schools and smaller communities in Kentucky.
His mission is to enrich the cultural experiences of all citizens, providing the highest caliber of artistry to under served areas through arts education programming and community presenting.
